The campaign
TedOS is running the Altra Yorkshire 10 Mile in York on 18 October 2026 and is selling space on his race shirt and cap under the name 10-Mile Billboard. He framed it against other ad-space campaigns: he keeps none of the money. Every payment goes to The Island, a York charity that mentors young people, minus Stripe fees, and he pays for the shirt, cap and printing himself.
There are 21 places at fixed prices, with no auction. Logo places run from $65 for a small front block to $400 for the back panel, sleeves and side panels are sold as pairs, the cap front is $275, and eight hem places at $25 carry an X handle only. The full inventory adds up to $2,400. Buyers can add a top-up or donate without taking a place, and the race number area is kept clear. The site shows the kit as a 3D model that updates when artwork is uploaded.
He announced it on X on 28 August 2026 with a video of the 3D shirt, citing the organiser's expected crowd of up to 25,000. The post had about 300 views when checked.
On 24 September the site showed $0 raised of $2,400 and all 21 places open, and its claims feed was empty. He said proof of the donation and race-day photos would be posted after the run.
