The campaign
Naïm, a runner based in Paris, built a site called wearmyads to sell space on the black long-sleeve top he planned to wear at the first 10 km du Lagardère Paris Racing, held in the Bois de Boulogne on 20 September 2026. The shirt had eight sticker spots on the chest, shoulder, arms, forearm and back. Some already carried stickers of well-known tech brands that he wears by default, and a winning bidder would replace one of them.
Each spot was sold by auction with its own starting bid, from $15 for the arm and forearm spots up to $100 for the upper back, rising in $20 steps. Payment was a card hold through Stripe, charged only if the bid still led at the close. Sponsors were promised the logo on the shirt, a logo and link on the site, race photos on X and an appearance in his first YouTube vlog. He said he would give 20% of every winning bid to Premiers de Cordée, the charity the race supports, and post the receipts on the page.
He announced the campaign on X on 16 September, two days before bidding closed on 18 September. The post had about 90 views when checked. The site also listed three earlier 10 km races he ran in 2026 with his own photos.
When checked on 25 September, the site's spot data showed no leading bid and no sponsor on any of the eight spots, and the donation section said no winning bid had been paid. We could not find a published finishing time for the race.

Takeaways for athletes
- A two-day bidding window after the announcement left almost no time for an audience to find the offer.
- A launch post with under 100 views did not reach enough buyers; build reach before opening bids.
- Showing past races with real photos and a clear refund rule answers buyer questions, but it does not replace distribution.
