One person.
Many pieces of inventory.

A runner is not one placement. A runner is an arm, a race shirt, a cap, a hydration vest and a finish-line photo. Sponsor My Body structures every visible surface into something a brand can book, for one event, one season, or one piece of content.

FAQ/Straight answers

Questions people ask.

Where this comes from, what it costs, and what it is not.

What is Sponsor My Body?
Sponsor My Body is a sponsorship marketplace in development. Athletes will be able to choose fixed prices or auctions for their placements. Today, you can explore examples and join the waitlist. Accounts, bookings, bidding and payments are not available yet.
Where does the idea come from?
In September 2026 Marc Lou auctioned 15 spots on his body before his first HYROX race in İzmir. Six sponsors paid $112,062. Athletes then asked how to do the same for their own races. Sponsor My Body turns that one-off into inventory anyone can list. It is an independent project and is not affiliated with Marc Lou. See the original auction, or read the full story of the trend: who did it, what they charged, and how the rules worked.
Is this the “I’m selling my body” trend from X?
Yes, that is where it started. Marc Lou opened his HYROX muscles to sponsors on 8 September 2026. Within a week Vanshika sold 13 spots on a dress for a crypto conference in Singapore, Divv Saxena listed 14 outfit spots for 30 days of building in public, and a dozen more one-off pages followed. Each of them had to build their own site, payment flow and refund logic for one person and one event. Sponsor My Body is building a marketplace version with fixed prices and auctions. Today it is a waitlist and demonstration, with no bookings or bidding yet. It is independent and not affiliated with any of them.
What is on-body sponsorship?
A brand pays to have its logo on a person’s body, clothing or gear for a defined time and audience: a temporary tattoo on an arm for race day, a print on a race shirt, a decal on a helmet or bike frame, a patch on a cap for a convention. People call it a human billboard or selling ad space on yourself. Sponsor My Body is developing a way to define those placements, their price or auction rules, and proof of delivery.
Will athletes be able to run auctions?
Athletes will be able to choose an auction instead of a fixed price. Our proposed format uses a visible starting price and closing time; the highest valid bidder then pays through checkout. Detailed rules will be published before launch. Auctions, saved cards and automatic charges are not available on this site today.
Does it work for conferences and creators, not just races?
The examples explore conferences, streams, clothing and gear as well as races. These are demonstrations, not bookable listings. We will announce supported placement types and participant eligibility before launch.
Is it a real tattoo?
No. Placements on skin are temporary tattoos printed for race day. Most placements are on clothing and gear: race shirts, tri-suits, helmets, bike frames, caps, hydration vests. Nothing is permanent.
How does pricing work?
We plan to let athletes choose a fixed price or run an auction for each placement. The prices shown here are examples. Payment, delivery review and payout features are still in development.
What does it cost?
Listing is free for athletes and there is no platform fee. Brands pay by card through Stripe, straight into the athlete's own Stripe account. The price a brand sees includes the card processing cost, so the athlete receives at least the amount they set. The athlete is paid out after the event, once they have delivered. Until card payments are switched on for a campaign, we arrange the payment by email. The payment terms have the details.
Does the site use cookies?
Google Analytics loads only after you choose Allow analytics, wherever you are. No thanks prevents analytics from loading. You can change or withdraw your choice through Analytics settings in the footer. Joining the waitlist works either way.
When does it launch?
The waitlist is open now. The first placements go live with early athletes from the waitlist. Leave an email below and say whether you are an athlete or a brand.
