What Sponsor My Body collects, why, and what you can do about it. Short, because there is not much.

One note on the site itself: it is an announcement of a marketplace in development. The athletes, listings, sponsors and prices shown are examples, and the brand logos in example images are illustrative and do not indicate any sponsorship or relationship. Sponsor My Body is independent and not affiliated with Marc Lou, HYROX or any brand named on the site.

Who is responsible

Sponsor My Body, reachable at hello@sponsormybody.com, operates sponsormybody.com and is the controller of the data described here. Full operator details, including the legal entity and registered address, are published here before the first paid placement goes live.

What is collected and why

Waitlist signup

When you join the waitlist we store your email address, whether you chose athlete, creator or brand, the time of signup, your IP address, your browser identification string, and where you came from (for example a link from X, a search engine, or direct). The email is used to tell you when placements open and to ask, occasionally, what you would want from the product. The rest is kept to prevent spam and abuse and to understand which channels bring people here.

Legal basis: your consent when you submit the form, and our legitimate interest in keeping the signup form free of abuse. You can withdraw at any time by replying to any email we send or writing to hello@sponsormybody.com; we then delete your row.

Retention: until you ask to be removed, or 24 months after the last email you opened or clicked, whichever comes first.

Notification email

Each signup triggers one internal email to hello@sponsormybody.com containing the signup details. That mailbox runs on Google Workspace, so Google processes that message on our behalf under its data processing terms.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages and posts bring people here. If your browser looks like it is in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you are asked first and nothing loads until you allow it. Choosing “No thanks” loads nothing at all. Elsewhere, analytics loads directly. Advertising features are switched off everywhere: no ad storage, no ad personalisation, no data shared for ads. IP addresses are anonymised. Google Analytics sets cookies on this site only if you allowed it; you can change your mind by clearing this site’s storage in your browser, after which you will be asked again.

Server logs

Our hosting provider keeps standard web server logs (IP address, requested page, time, browser) for security and error diagnosis for a short period. They are not used for anything else.

What is not done

No data is sold. No data is shared with brands, athletes or anyone else beyond the processors named above. No advertising networks run on this site. No profiling.

Processors and transfers

Google (Analytics, Workspace) and our hosting provider in the United Kingdom act on our instructions. Google may process data in the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to processing, or ask for a copy in a portable format. Write to hello@sponsormybody.com. If you think we have handled your data wrongly, you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

When the marketplace opens, this policy will grow to cover accounts, listings, payments and proof photos. The date at the top tells you when it last changed.
